. Ballet del Nuevo Siglo is a cutting edge dance company based in Monterrey , Mexico.
It has been founded with the mission to enrich the art form and therefore it´s company members and the comunity of Monterrey and the north east of Mexico. .
One of the main pourposes of BNS is to become an important option for professionals outside Mexico city and to create , educate and develope a big audience .
The company has regular seasons at diferent venues in Monterrey and the rest of the country.
Such venues are : Teatro de las Artes , Auditorio San Pedro, Teatro Municipal José Calderón , Teatro Juan Ruiz de Alarcón, Sala Carlos Chávez, and Teatro de la Danza.
Frecuently performances are held in non traditional spaces in order to get to a bigger audience and of course there are invitations to different art festivals trhoughout the country such as : Festival Viva Saltillo, Festival del Barrio Antiguo, Monterrey, Día Internacional de la Danza, UNAM , Festival de Verano del Teatro Calderón, Zacatecas, Festival Vive la Cultura con Todos Tus Sentidos in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Festival del Desierto, Matehuala SLP, II Festival Internacional Morelos and the re opening of Theater Esperanza Iris , Villahermosa Tabásco.
The company´s repertoire ranges from Classical Works such as Don Q suite or Le corsaire Suite, to Neo classical and Contemporary pieces made by national and international choreographers.
